CEREC® is the acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic – a process that utilizes digital modeling to create treatments right when you need them. This system is revolutionizing restorative dentistry by using digital design and computer-guided manufacturing for several prosthetic dental devices.

How Does CEREC® Work?

The first step will be a comprehensive examination followed by digital expressions, which the CEREC® device will use to create the necessary treatment. Once the system has all the required information, it will generate a design that is sent to a lab for processing before the final manufacturing is completed in our office.

Because the manufacturing is done in-house, you can often leave with a finalized prosthetic. This quick turnaround ensures that the treatment area is preserved as the teeth do not have time to shift if space was created between them.
